Competitive debate

I've been involved with competitive debate since primary school, competing in the Karl Popper format and later moving on to World Schools debate in high school. I attended most national high school debate tournaments, winning first place in individual and team points a couple of times. At the Heart of Europe debate tournament in 2019, my team won first place in the EFL category and came in second overall (this was the only international tournament we attended due to budget reasons).

Debate judging and coaching

Since leaving high school I've moved on from debating to being an adjudicator at high school debate tournaments and coaching new teams at the institution I formerly competed under. I also spent 2 years coaching debaters from New Era Academy (South Korea) and worked as tabmaster at the their annual Ispahan international debate tournament. As of 2021 I am part of the organization committee and for Slovenian national tournaments

Cybersecurity research

As part of the national high school student research programme I wrote 2 short papers on the topic of cybersecurity. One was an exploration of common social engineering tactics including a real-world susceptibility study among students from our school, with the other focusing on analyzing the security and privacy implications of commonly used digital services.
